There is so much in this movie that is great, and it’s a rare horror movie where the second half is better than the first. The scenes with supernatural elements were superb to watch and the horror is really there.

Too bad the tonal whiplash in some of its scenes, where it goes super silly and almost slapstick, didn’t go well with me. And since none of the characters bear any semblance of likability, I didn’t really care what happened to them in the end (though I was all in for the mystery).

Classics are classics for a reason, right? Such a beautiful movie! And feels really good to watch, too. The scenes just flow with such levity and you don’t even feel the time pass.

An absolute nothing burger of a film. An ET movie in 2026 ought to try to do something new or different, but this one does nothing. It takes itself so seriously that it just feels silly. It’s even sillier how many shots there are of people reacting to how serious the things happening in the movie are, as if the movie is trying really hard to make you care, too. I didn’t.

This is an absolute masterpiece. From the very beginning of the game it bombards you with style and personality, and the moment you take control of your character is the moment you fall in love with it. It is satisfying, rewarding, challenging and absolutely chaotic, but it does such an incredible job at introducing its mechanics incrementally that you never feel overwhelmed at all, even if all the things happening on the screen are quite absurd.

It’s a rare game that makes me wish there were more of it, not less. It doesn’t overstay its welcome but provides enough joy to make me want to keep playing it for much longer.

Incredibly cute, well made and with plenty of stuff to do! The story is also surprisingly nice. It can get pretty overwhelming at times with how much there is to do, but it’s the ultimate cute environment sandbox and made better by the sheer amount of Pokémon in there, with their own personalities and preferences.

This is definitely not my type of book, but I’ve watched the Broadway musical in 2024 and wanted to see what the original material was like. The musical was incredible, the book… not so much. I think the only enjoyment I got out of it was remembering the scenes of the musical as I read it.

This movie is such a fun time! It’s like a train-wreck that you can’t look away from. My wife and I laughed out loudly so many times, and there’s a lot to dig into if you peek at the details.

This is my third time watching this, and it has become a comfort series for my wife and I. Its highs are really great and its lows are fine. I think it’s the sitcom that best portrays the process of growing old and how relationships morph as time passes.

Its finale will forever live in infamy but I always thought it made perfect sense, though it does have awful pacing.

I am in absolute awe of this game. It is a complete work of art. I was amazed by its visuals, enthralled by its combat, tearful at its story and ultimately in love with its soundtrack.

It’s a story about grief, and it will make you experience that. It’s also going to be one of the most beautiful experiences you’ll ever have.

One of my favorite albums ever. Not only it is very good, it also holds a special place in my heart due to it being the most recent album when I discovered Iron Maiden, and my brother and I used to watch the Rock in Rio concert from this album’s tour every. single. day. It’s special to the band too, as a perfect comeback album after the rough 90s they had. It’s what made they become the best band in the world… for a second time.

Super funny and interesting! I love the way it was shot, it succeeds in not taking itself seriously and is all the better for it.

This is a punch in the gut, but I am better for having read it. Not much can be said that hasn’t already been said; it’s one of the most discussed books ever (even if often misinterpreted to fit whatever you believe in). As a “quietly rebellious” person myself, I have to say it left me in a deep state of melancholy as I was nearing the end, and that feeling still lingers the following day.

One of the best (if not THE best) horror movies I’ve ever seen! Nikki is probably the most terrifying character I’ve seen in a movie, and so much of it is due to Inde’s acting and the amazing sound design.

There is no way a movie with this concept would be good, but I gotta praise that this movie isn’t afraid of being weird, and went in a totally different direction than I expected a bad horror-ish movie to go.

I remember loving this book when I was a pre-teen so perhaps this rating is a bit unfair. I was looking for some light reading before bed and landed on this one, but I guess the humor doesn’t work on me anymore. Some good quotes here and there, but most of it felt like an adult’s attempt at saying things kids would find funny. It probably works for a lot of people but I think I outgrew this specific kind of silliness (but not silliness altogether, mind you).

Hard to review this one. On one hand, it’s one of the best (if not the best) stories and set of characters I’ve ever seen in a video game. Not only that, it’s something only a game can offer: it was my story, I always felt like my choices mattered and saw them affecting the world and characters in some way.

On the other hand, I didn’t enjoy much of the rest. My playthrough lasted 99h, and by hour 30 I was already tired of combat and exploration and couldn’t wait for it to end. I ended up lowering the difficulty so I could just get combat over ASAP and get back to the story bits which was the only thing I cared about.

The more I listen to this one, the more I like it. A perfect blend of everything Deafheaven, from the heavier sounds of Sunbather to the ethereal melodies of Infinite Granite, it’s all blended together masterfully here. “Heathen” and “Amethyst” are just magnificent, really.

Lyrically it still feels as abstract as ever, but beautiful.

This season was amazing! One of my favorites so far. The game mode is great (and would only ever work in Taiwan’s rail map), and the challenges are great. In fact, returning from Schengen Showdown are the themed challenges, where each is based on something specific to the area they take place in. It’s a great way to show off the country and they’re usually more fun to watch.

The editing is amazing, too. The visuals they build to show everything that’s going on in the game are awesome, and I have no idea how the players play without them 😅

This movie is basically the first one but adapted to more modern concepts (social media, late stage capitalism). And honestly, that’s fine. It does better than probably most other unnecessary sequels do, and it was an enjoyable watch from start to finish. Bonus points for having Gaga in it.

It was cool to watch the Milan scenes while literally being in Milan, too.

This is not the type of music I usually listen to, but if Aurora does something, I’m gonna give it a try. Pretty enjoyable from start to finish, I can see this being perfect for dancing in a club but I really like it as high-energy background music for doing stuff in the computer. Highlights are “A Boy Like You”, “Somewhere Else”, and the extremely catchy “Ring the Alarm”.

Robert Eggers knows just how to transport you into not only a different time, but into all the brutality and supernatural aspects of its folklore. What a great movie, even if (thankfully) all the masculine energy it exhales is not my cup of tea.

So much squandered potential. Warcraft has an incredibly rich lore, hundreds of memorable characters, and they even had an entire expansion before to build up to this one. And then proceeded to tell the most boring story ever. What’s worse, they even committed the crime of making the player character have no place in it. Seriously, who thought it’d be a good idea to have a story in which the player factions (Horde and Alliance) don’t even show up?

Gameplay is still fun because it’s WoW, but gosh what a narrative trainwreck.

There’s a bunch of good sci-fi movies out there, but very few that lean so much into the “sci” part of it. Everything that happens in the movie feels believable* even if they’re completely alien to us (it is a space movie, after all), and there’s a pretty good story in there too. If you liked The Martian or Interstellar, you’re gonna love this one.

One of my favorite series, I loved rewatching it. From the case-of-the-week episodes in the first seasons to the bigger arches in the later seasons, it is overall a fantastic show with very few blunders.

What surprised me this rewatch is how much I liked the last season, which was the worst one for me before. Now I think it’s one of the best!

I’d rank the seasons 1 = 4 > 2 > 8 > 3 > 6 > 5 > 7.

A very interesting premise in the beginning, very interesting characters in the middle, and an ending that stuck the landing. What else could you ask for? It doesn’t try to be anything more than what it is: a good movie. Wish more movies were like that.

While the movie takes its time to get going, it is so well worth it. It keeps reinventing itself every few minutes and just keeps getting better and better.

The soundtrack, though, is just on another level. It is so good. One particular scene is gonna stick in my mind for a while, it was freaking amazing. If you watched it, you know which one it is.

Gosh I loved this movie. A thriller that managed to make me both really tense and laugh out loud in the same scene without any of these reactions contradicting each other. It’s absolutely ridiculous in the best way.

As a Brazilian I’m extremely proud of this movie, and it’s extremely good in pretty much all regards. Trying to avoid spoilers here, but… it feels like it’s missing a huge part though? With the historical context I have I can kind of imagine why it’s missing, but it felt frustrating, unlike the rest of the movie that’s actually there.

This prequel to Lies of P is everything that was good about the base game, but elevated into a 12-hour long campaign of pure awesomeness.

The story, level design, bosses and weapons are just state of the art. The final chapter had my eyes all teared up all the time.

Each chapter even has self-contained small side quests that don’t give much of a challenge but are great pieces of world-building to make Krat an even cooler setting.

Raw and gut-wrenching are perfect adjectives for this one. It wants to get its message across and pulls no punches in doing so: nobody wins a nuclear war.

While this is probably my least favorite of the trilogy, it’s still one of the best movies ever made. An outstanding achievement in all regards. I can’t believe these movies exist.

The extra scenes for the extended edition are also pretty neat, and add some extra context that is very welcome for a fan like me. The overall movie pacing gets a bit worse which is why it’s totally understandable why they were cut from the theatrical release. And another reason I’m glad the extended editions exist!

I just wish the final Saruman scene was in this movie instead of the next one. I feel like it’d wrap around this movie’s story a bit more nicely.

There’s a lot of quality in this show, but the glacial pacing (and how long it takes for the main character to develop any semblance of likeability) made me really struggle to care about anything that happened.

Amazing game, probably the best souslike that’s not made by From Software.

Lies of P is a dark retelling of Pinocchio, and the Belle Epoque with Puppets setting really grows on you. At some point it goes bonkers with that and it’s awesome. The Bloodborne inspiration is obvious and very welcome.

The final third of the game suffers from a steep difficulty wall, but doesn’t ruin it. There’s a difficulty setting that can help if a boss gets too difficult.

I’ve played this game on and off since 2021, and surprisingly never stopped to give it a review.

It’s a dream come true, honestly. Space exploration at its finest, exploring worlds is always fun, there’s so much to do and still the best thing to do is nothing. I love just walking around a pretty planet and taking screenshots of the amazing views. Whatever problems it has just fade away in the vastness of space.

I absolutely adore the dialogues, too. So many existential quotes that just hit the right spot.

Watching this movie feels like a nightmare. Things happen and you really don’t have much say in it, then they start spiraling out of control and you’re completely unable to do anything. You can’t run, yell or fight.

The religious allegories are quite obvious and are great, but that nightmarish feeling was really something I hadn’t felt with a movie before.

Every single Ghost album improves on the last, and this is no exception. Every single song in this is a banger, with special mentions to Lachryma, Satanized, De Profundis Borealis and Umbra. These might just be the top 4 Ghost songs ever for me.

I gotta say though, the album as a whole is not as cohesive as IMPERA was. It has better songs individually, but IMPERA felt like a better album (at least on first listen) because every song complements each other. Skeletá doesn’t have a single musical identity like that, but whatever it’s doing, every song works individually.

Breaks my heart because I love the game, but this adaptation just didn’t do it for me. Season 1 was pretty good, but I feel like none of the changes on Season 2 worked. Ellie is just a completely different character, and I feel like none of her actions are justified in the show. I gotta say some of the heaviest moments hit really hard on the show too. Episodes 2 and 6 were standouts though. Really enjoyed those.

Holy crap, now this is a good horror movie. A slow burn that really pays off. Its found footage structure makes perfect sense in the story and also reflects a lot on what you think and feel during the entire movie. It finds the perfect balance of explaining things enough to be satisfying but not enough to break the horror aspect (something that most movies just suck at).

This one was a tough watch. After the good surprise that Season 6 was, this one never really stuck the landing. It gives up the plot that Season 6 sets in like 15 minutes and then just drags on for 23 episodes. I never really knew if I should take a scene seriously or if it was meant to be a comic relief - and to be honest, if feels like the show didn’t know either.

I gotta say the Bobby arc on the second half of the season was pretty good, though.

Has some pretty amazing moments and is overall very good, but just like the first one, it overdoes the action scenes, with one after another. So it ends up feeling bloated. Not enough to make it a bad movie, far from it! I never understood why the Hobbit movies are so underrated.

The first time I watched this one back in 2013, I remember not enjoying it as much as I enjoyed the first. But now, I think it’s much better.

I think it could be a bit goofier overall, but I pretty much enjoyed everything in this rewatch (except for the out-of-place romance). Smaug’s scenes are simply amazing, too.

Judge me, but I actually like The Hobbit movies. This is my first rewatch since it came out in 2012, and while this one has a few too many action scenes (which are fun, just get tiresome after 3 hours), it’s still a really good movie in an universe I love.

Sure, its quality never matches the Lord of the Rings trilogy, but to be honest I don’t think anything else ever will.

I had watched this one many years ago and remember not liking it very much. After rewatching it, I was surprised… it’s actually pretty good!

It’s kind of a soft reboot after the series’ story ending in Season 5, so it’s understandable that most people didn’t like it back then. But when you’re not expecting a continuation and instead understand it’s a reboot, it’s actually pretty enjoyable.

Fun episodes and interesting arcs (that honestly could have lasted a bit longer). I might even say it’s better than seasons 2 and 3.

This one hits hard. It’s a brilliantly told true story of just one of the thousands of families destroyed the military dictatorship in Brazil.

Its depiction of Rio de Janeiro in the 70s is very on point. The details make everything much more relatable. It’s a powerful reminder of why we must celebrate and fight to keep the rights we have today.

Wow, a horror movie that’s actually good! Really knows how to build up tension, keeping you on the edge of your seat for most of it.

As a longtime Warcraft fan, I watched this back when it came out, and finally rewatched it now. I remember being fascinated by seeing the Azeroth I knew so well on the big screen, but once that feeling goes away, it’s just an okay film.

The conclusion to the trilogy that started with ‘X’, this one now takes place in the 80s and has a lot of the tropes of the movies of that era.

The ambiance, references and (again) Mia Goth’s acting really bring you into the movie. It’s a shame the climax is unable to match the same level of quality, leading to a quite confusing ending.

Amazing movie from start to finish. Pearl is an incredible character and even though you already have an idea of what’s going to happen (because this is a prequel to ‘X’), the way the story is told just keeps your eyes glued to the screen.
